A Panchayat is a body of elected representatives responsible for carrying out the administrative functions of the Panchayati Raj Institutions. Kodumon Grama Panchayat is located in Parakode Block, Adoor Taluk, of Pathanamthitta District, Kerala. The Panchayat comprises the two revenue villages of Kodumon and Angadikkal, covering a total geographical area of 36.36 square kilometres.The Panchayat is bounded by Pandalam Thekkekara Grama Panchayat and Adoor Municipality on the west, Adoor Municipality and Ezhamkulam Grama Panchayat on the south, Koodal Grama Panchayat on the east, and Pandalam Thekkekara and Koodal Grama Panchayats on the north.Kodumon is historically significant as the birthplace of Sakthibhadra, the renowned Sanskrit scholar and playwright who authored the classical drama Aascharyachoodamani. History of Grama Panchayat
